Key Elements of Our Approach

OUR VALUES & SAFEGUARDING

At Bluerock Care Homes, we provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic homes for children and young people in care. Our values underpin everything we do and ensure that children feel protected, respected, and supported to thrive.

OUR VALUES

1. Child-Centred Care

Children are at the heart of every decision we make. We actively listen to their views, respect their individuality, and involve them in decisions about their care wherever possible.

2. Safety & Safeguarding

Safeguarding is our highest priority. We are committed to creating homes where children feel safe, secure, and protected from harm. Safeguarding is embedded into daily practice, staff training, and leadership oversight.

3. Therapeutic & PACE-Informed Practice

Our care is therapeutic and informed by the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy). We understand the impact of trauma and attachment difficulties and respond with consistency, compassion, and emotional understanding.

4. Respect, Equality & Inclusion

We promote equality and inclusion for all children, regardless of gender, background, culture, religion, ability, or identity. Diversity is respected and celebrated within our homes.

5. Positive Outcomes & Development

We support children to build confidence, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and life skills. Our homes promote education, personal development, healthy relationships, and preparation for independence where appropriate.

6. Partnership Working

We work closely with local authorities, families, education providers, health professionals, and other agencies to ensure children receive consistent, joined-up care and support.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN

Bluerock Care Homes has robust safeguarding arrangements in place to protect children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harm. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and understand their responsibility to act immediately on any concerns.
